A family business, washed up on the right shore
18+ years of professional exterior cleaning experience, now proudly based in Guernsey and serving the whole island.
Aquatec was founded by Matt Haythornwhite in 2008 as an exterior cleaning company in Cheshire, where the business built its reputation one driveway, patio and conservatory at a time. The company motto from day one: “your satisfaction is our reputation.”
In 2026 we relocated the business, and the family, to Guernsey. Same equipment, same standards, same guarantee, new coastline. And with that coastline came a new specialism: professional external boat cleaning for the island's marinas, alongside everything we've always done best.
We're still deliberately small. Matt quotes every job personally, and the person who quotes your job is the person who turns up to do it: insured, trained and on time.
How we work
Pure-water cleaning
Our water-fed pole system uses purified water that dries spot-free with no chemical residue, on glass, frames and gelcoat alike.
Marina-friendly methods
Biodegradable, wax-safe products and controlled wash-down for boats, kind to your gelcoat and to the water it sits in.
Fully insured
Comprehensive public liability cover for domestic, commercial and marine work, with certificates available on request.
The re-clean guarantee
If you're not completely satisfied with any part of the job, we come back and re-clean it free of charge. Simple.
